Garrett made a special trip on Wednesday to The Beat Museum. I’m going to leave it to Jerry Cimino and the folks at The Beat Museum to announce just what it was for (it’s really cool, trust me) but in the mean time, Al Hinkle (Big Ed Dunkel in OTR) has started to post some information and pictures from the trip on his public Facebook fan page.
Exciting day today! Actor Garrett Hedlund, John Cassady and publicist/photographer Greg Smith left Los Angeles this morning, hitting the road in a 1949 Hudson, an homage to my friends Jack and Neal and the trip that turned into On The Road. They are headed to the Beat Museum in SF, but they are making a little stop before that – at my house here in San Jose, so I can join them for the last leg.

Here’s Garrett and myself in my home, in front of the portraits of my wife Helen and myself that Carolyn Cassady painted. I will be posting more pics soon.
Follow Al HERE and check out his website HERE.
