As I said in the last post, L&PM Editors has two new pictures of Garrett that they’re holding hostage. Okay, I might be exaggerating just a bit, but if they get their TWITTER MESSAGE retweeted 300 times, they will release the picture early, otherwise we have to wait until Jack’s birthday on March 12th to see them. Since we’re in a bit of a dry spell here for On the Road news and updates, I’m sure you’ll all agree that the sooner we can see the pictures the better.
L&PM said you can either tweet their ORIGINAL MESSAGE or you can also tweet the same message in English, as long as you include a link to their site. This is the message in English:
I want to see 2 new pics of Garrett Hedlund & Al Hinkle & the 49 Hudson from #OTR. RT if you do too! @LePM_Editores
And then copy and paste this link into your tweet – http://lpm.com.br/site/default.asp?TroncoID=805133&SecaoID=816261&SubsecaoID=935305&Template=../artigosnoticias/user_exibir.asp&ID=736081
Anyway, the wonderful Simone from Hedlund Brasil has kindly translated the article about the pictures that was posted on L&PM’s site. – Laura
Here they come, more new pictures of Walter Salles’ movie
On The Road
Last year, Jack Kerouac’s birthday celebration, on March 12th, was very special. At that time, we received from director Walter Salles a brand new picture from On The Road footage, which showed Dean Moriarty’s character in some sort of trance, dancing with prostitutes in a brothel in Gregoria, Mexico. The gift was shared with Kerouac’s fans at L&PM’s website, Twitter and Facebook.

Another Jack Kerouac birthday is coming up, and Walter Salles gave us another present! We got two other pictures where Garrett Hedlund (which plays Dean Moriarty in On The Road) is driving the 1949 Hudson used in the movie. One of them also shows Al Hinke, the man who helped Neal Cassady to buy the original Hudson used in the trip that originated the book.
As we’re several days away from March 12, we thought about a way to release the pictures as soon as possible: on February 27, we will tweet from @LePM_editores account the phrase “I want to see two new pictures of Garrett Hedlund and Al Hinke in the 1949 Hudson from On The Road movie. Retweet if you want it too!”
When we get to 300 retweets, Jack Kerouac’s birthday present comes sooner. It’s worth campaigning for and ask friends to join the “cause”. Go!
