Annette Bening and Hailee Steinfeld Sing A “Lullaby”
Academy Award nominees Annette Bening and Hailee Steinfeld are in talks to join the cast of Avenue Pictures and Solipsist Films’ production of LULLABY.
The film, which already has Richard Jenkins, Amy Adams, and Garrett Hedlund attached, is about a broken family that comes together in the final days of the cancer-stricken patriarch, to be played by Jenkins. Bening would play the mother of the family, while Steinfeld would play a cancer patient who connects with Hedlund’s character. Andrew Levitas will serve as writer and director.
Cary Brokaw, Andrea Stone, and Steven L’Heureux are producing.
Bening, who was Oscar-nominated for her performances in “The Kids Are All Right” and “American Beauty,” is repped by CAA.
Steinfeld made her Hollywood debut in the Coen Brothers’ remake “True Grit” and has been cast in Gavin Hood’s upcoming “Ender’s Game.” She is repped by ICM.

I haven’t heard about this one. I looked it up on IMDB and the only name listed is the writer/director. We’ll have to wait and see if any more news comes out about this. If it’s true, that’s an amazing cast – almost sounds a little too good to be true, but it certainly has the hallmarks of a project with great potential. – Laura
