My friend Pascale had a chance to attend the On the Road premiere at TIFF and she got to meet Garrett (and take a ton of great pictures). She shared her story with us here at Mrhedlund.com. Thanks, Pascale!

Thursday morning, I left Montreal to go to the On the road premiere in Toronto. I got to the Ryerson theatre between 2-2:30pm and got a spot on the gate. The movie was supposed to start at 9, so the red carpet was at 8 but the special event before it started an hour late.

8:00 – no one on the carpet.

8:30 – still no one.

Finally, at 8:45, we hear a door closing and the photographers going crazy. Someone’s finally here and it’s Kristen Stewart! Followed by Kirsten Dunst and finally Garrett!

He took a few pictures in front of the TIFF wall and came directly to take pictures with fans and sign autographs. When it was my turn I gave him my Four Brothers DVD. He saw it, looked up and said, “wow that’s old!” with a smile and I told him I picked this DVD and not another one because that’s the movie who made me love him/his acting more than 7 years ago. He looked really flattered and happy to hear I was a big fan. He also asked if I had to wait a long time, how my day was and we took a picture together.

He was really nice and meeting him was an immense pleasure. I hope he comes back to Canada soon so I can see him again!
